Fishy Pictures

Fish has provided some great pictures, including some must-sees from France. And don't forget our favorite pageant contestant, miscellaneous.

Also added some galleries from the recent dance band gigs.

New Links Page

We now have a links page for sharing musical sites of interest. It is far from complete and needs your help to grow.

Please e-mail links to bands (concert, small ensembles, brass, jazz, ceremonial, marching) you perform with or whose concerts you frequently attend, as well as online music resources you'd like to share. For example, the Online Trombone Journal, a personal favorite, has a wealth of information for the budding to advanced trombonist.

New Music

I've added the 2003 Tribute to Freedom recording to the music page. Also re-ripped the 1998 CD, because the first one had some errors. They're now both at 160K (high quality).

Also, I'm now running a streaming media server. Similar to Internet radio, it's an efficient way to listen to an entire playlist live, without having to download the files one at a time. Try a random playlist of the 1998, 2000, and 2003 recordings here:

Note: This requires Windows Media Player. And if you have the newest version, 9, you can fast-forward and rewind to other songs. See if you can guess which year a particular rendition of the National Anthem or Stars and Stripes was performed.

Welcome

The 451 Weblog is now online. This is your one-stop source for 451 recordings and pictures. In addition, I'm hopeful that the weblog will allow current and former members to share their memories and keep each other updated on what they, and their familes, are doing.
